We're excited to share that MIRAI, our AI-vision software, is now officially available for order for KUKA robot users.

KUKA users now also benefit from the proven strengths of MIRAI: “Our new integration with KUKA expands the number of users who can use MIRAI to automate applications that were previously not feasible or cost-effective to automate such as cable insertion, gear picking or leak testing," says our CEO Gary Jackson.

MIRAI is an advanced AI-vision software system that enables robots to dynamically respond to varying conditions within the factory environment, including variance in position, shape, color, lighting, and background. MIRAI uses AI to generate robot movements directly and in real time, ensuring robust execution. What sets MIRAI apart from traditional vision solutions is the ability to operate with real factory data without the need for CAD data, controlled light, visual-feature predefinition, or extensive knowledge of computer vision.

With innovative technologies like MIRAI, our customers benefit from even more versatility to automate applications they couldn't automate before.

KUKA robots now perform tasks previously not feasible

Tasks that KUKA users can now automate robustly for the first time include:

  • Cable insertion
  • Rack hanging
  • Leak testing
  • End-of-line testing
  • Assembly
  • Handing transparent, reflective parts

KUKA leaders recognize benefits that MIRAI offers. “With innovative technologies like MIRAI, our customers benefit from even more versatility to automate applications they couldn't automate before," said Christian Felkel, vice president of Industry Management Electronics at KUKA. “With MIRAI, they can now automate these applications much faster and more affordably than possible with other programming.”
