We are proud to announce that Micropsi Industries has been honored with the "New Product of the Year" award in the robotics category at the 2023 Assembly Show in Chicago for its MIRAI vision system. MIRAI's win validates how the intelligent vision system is the answer to the evolving needs of automation across all industries. This recognition not only confirms MIRAI's uniqueness, but also underscores its potential to redefine the landscape of robotics and automation.
MIRAI is not just another robot vision system; it utilizes artificial intelligence to generate real-time robot movements, revolutionizing the way robots interact with their environment. Traditional robot programming has been a laborious and often expensive process, making it unviable for many applications. Alternatively, MIRAI enables robots to learn skills and specific tasks, rather than being programmed, all without requiring a deep understanding of AI.
What sets MIRAI apart is its ability to enable robots to handle variances in shape, position, color, and light conditions, all without the need for costly or complex coding. MIRAI's unique capabilities empower robots to handle the complexities of dynamic environments, making possible the automation of challenging or costly tasks to automate.
With increasing customer demands and dynamic environments, manufacturers continue to look for robust, flexible, and cost-effective automation solutions to handle complex tasks in applications such as assembly, screw driving or leak testing. “The MIRAI vision system is the answer, enabling robots to react to multiple variances without the need for traditional programming”, said Matt Jones, our Vice President of US Sales and Operations. “To be nominated by the editors of Assembly Magazine and then voted the robotics winner further validates the unique capabilities MIRAI offers robot users.”
Visitors to the Assembly Show 2023 in Illinois had the opportunity to experience MIRAI's capabilities for themselves at our booth as part of two innovative demonstrations. A Universal Robots cobot equipped with MIRAI showed how it could reliably grip and insert a cable despite variance in the position of the plug and the socket; a process that often occurs during end-of-line testing. A FANUC CRX demonstrated MIRAI's robust handling of transparent and reflective objects by safely grasping a transparent cube placed unpredictably on a mirror.
